PEGI Ratings

About PEGI
PEGI stands for
Pan
European
Game
Information

PEGI labels will appear on the front and back of game packaging which can be used to indicate what the appropriate age would be to play the game. but it does not take into account the difficulty level or skills required to play, It takes in the fact of how scary it could be or violent and use it to protect minors.

PEGI 3 the one used for most kids game contains some violence but it's comical context like roadrunner and  wille e coyote

PEGI 7 like a PEGI 3 but could contain scary scenes and sounds not suitable for younger children

PEGI 12 they show violence which is a bit more graphic towards fantasy characters or non graphic violence to human like characters and animals. Bad language can be used  but it has to be mild and it must fall short sexual content.

PEGI 16  this rating is used when the violence or sexual activity to the fact that it looks like something that could happen in real life like extreme foul language, use of tabacoo and use of drugs.

PEGI 18 is the adult classification used on games  like GTA it shows extreme violence like torture and brutal murder the sought of violence that might make the player disgusted and sick.

My game will most likely be a PEGI 7 because of it being a game where you attack monsters with a sword which parents might not see as appropriate for children younger then 7.
